We take a bespoke approach to students particularly disadvantaged by the Covid pandemic. Students who are struggling with their courses have been funded to complete additional, supporting courses online.
We also offer some small-group tuition (maximum 5 students to one tutor) for students who need extra support to gain their GCSE Maths and English – including those who need to have a strong pass for their desired onward pathway from Key Stage 5.
We are working to ensure that A Level students of MFL, History/Politics (and other Humanities subjects), the Sciences, and those on our BTEC courses, are also able to access high-quality support to enable them to achieve success both in their current courses and in their future pathways.
Students who are failing to achieve their target grade, and whom we know have suffered complex disadvantage from Covid or other circumstances, will be invited to attend these interventions. These will primarily be students who are on our roll within the LaSWAP consortium.
