Our school community will be supporting the Camden Food Bank, with a collection of donations in school between 5th-15th December 2022.
Nationally almost 1.3 million emergency food parcels were given out in the 6 months up to September 2022, with almost 500,000 of these being handed out to children, according to the leading charity, The Trussell Trust.
The Camden Food Bank, has been overwhelmed in recent weeks with local people needing help.
The following items are needed for the food bank’s Christmas appeal:
Tinned Fish & Meat
Tuna, Sardines, Mackerel etc.
Hot Dogs, Meatballs, Meat in Sauce, Fray Bentos, etc.
Tinned Fruit
Tinned Vegetables
Pasta Sauce
Long Life Milk
Whole, Semi, Soya, Oat or Almond
Breakfast Cereal
Cornflakes, Coco Pops, Rice Krispies, Fruit and Fibre, etc.
Jam, Peanut Butter, Chocolate Spread
Longlife Juice and squash
Cooking Oil
Coffee, Tea and Hot Chocolate
Christmas Sweets and Biscuits
Toiletries
Shampoo, Shower Gel, Toilet Rolls etc.
Washing Powder for Laundry & Washing up Liquid
Christmas Presents
Donations can be dropped off in the Library, or at the school office, between 5th-15th December (weekdays 8am-4pm). Please do consider whether you can make a contribution over the coming fortnight to help local families in need.
